Miniature Dwarf Bearded

The general rule of thumb is the shorter the iris, the earlier it blooms.  The Miniature Dwarf Bearded (MDB) irises are the shortest of the bearded irises—measuring no taller than 8 inches—and are the earliest to bloom.
